A Learning Curve Day at Maywood with The Mini Marvels
We had a super day down here at the home of the MMs – all who attended did really well. Everyone looked after a mini for the day, l earning how to groom them, get them ready for excise and then learn how to work them.
I showed them how to tie up and brush off the minis, pick their feet out - we even practised plaiting and the girls learnt how to do a running plait in the mane. They watched the farrier trim Warriors hooves - not everyone has seen it done before.
After a busy morning we were all ready for lunch, following this we went out and started work with the some of the team. Making the little one walk on is not hard but is is really important that you learn how to halt as well then do turns and circles - we practised all this alot.
